Weather - a little foggy in parts clearing to a bright morning

A confident A&C team were ready for the off whistle and came out fighting. Within 4 minutes, Alfred had scored the first try. The forwards were working well winning the rucks with Devan playing a good 9 sending the ball to the backs. Aylesbury were now showing a little more grit as Huey was brought down receiving a knee injury. He was replaced with George. A second try was delivered by Alfred against a disgruntled Aylesbury, however our hosts were certainly not giving up as they began the fight back. The play was now more evenly balanced as Aylesbury became more aggressive wanting increasing amounts of possession. At the half time turnaround A&C were winning 14-0.
The second half opened with Max moving to scrum half, James moving to 12 and Jack came on to join the forwards. A charge from Alfred led to a targeted attack from Aylesbury. Alfred was to be brought to ground at all costs. However, an excellent off-load to Isaac MacDonald led to try number three. Monty converted to provide a now convincing 21-0 lead over our county opponents. Penalties were now being given away by Aylesbury as A&C dominated the scrums. Once again the ball moved across the backs through to Blake who scored try number four between the posts. Huey has now returned to the backs with a refreshed knee cap. So refreshed in fact that he went on to score the next two tries using his speed to outpace the opponents down the wing. Caps off to Aylesbury, they didn’t give up. You have to admire them for their tenacity. A final try from James completed the line up. A well earned 7 tries and 3 conversions produced a resounding score of 41-0.
