Chiltern welcomed Chinnor to Weedon Lane and it turned out to be a tough game against an experienced 3xv.
Penalties were traded early on and it took until the 15th minute for the first score when Chinnor turned the scrum against the head and crashed over for their first try.
Chiltern replied quickly with a penalty from Ryan Greenstreet to make the score 3-5.
Just before half time Chinnor scored a well worked try in the corner, conversion missed to make the half time score 3-10.
HT 3-10
Chiltern started the second half well and 10 minutes into the second half the Chinnor 12 received a yellow card for repeated infringements.
Chiltern were rewarded for their pressure with a penalty by Ryan Greenstreet to make the score 6-10.
Within minutes Chinnor were in the Chiltern 22 and slotted a drop goal to make the score 6-13.
Once they got their centre back it was the last 20 minutes that Chinnor showed their class out wide. Their second try was a very nice line from their full back, slicing through and scoring under the posts, conversion succesful 6-20.
Their third was a mistake in the Chiltern backline inside their own half which Chinnor fly hacked through and dived on to score under the posts, conversion missed 6-25.
The final try was good work from the Chinnor backs, looping round and scoring in the corner, the conversion missed 6-30.
The scoreline probably flattered Chinnor but they were clinical when it mattered and that showed.

Chiltern didn’t quite have enough on the day but well done to the whole squad for their attitude and commitment until the final whistle.
