In the absence of our own report, we have taken the liberty to copy/paste East Grinstead's match report...

On a very wet and heavy pitch, East Grinstead welcomed Amersham & Chiltern for the first time to Saint Hill for this National 3 encounter.
As in recent matches, East Grinstead started very well and were able to play the opening 15 minutes in the opposition's 22. The home side were certainly dominant in the scrum and it was from a set-piece where East Grinstead scored the first try of the match after 6 minutes. An excellent scrum 10 metres out saw the home side power forward and scrum half Cameron Meakin, making his first start of the season, touched down for the try.  Fly-half Tertius Terblanche, making his debut, missed the conversion but he extended the lead after 25 minutes when he scored a penalty to increase the lead to 8-0.
Amersham & Chiltern rarely got into East Grinstead’s half and the first half was completed with a second try for the home side. Try scorer was Adam Clayton and although the conversion was missed, the home side went in at half time with a comfortable 13-0 lead.
Changes in the back line at the start of the second half saw Scott Meakin come in at fly half with Tertius Terblanche switching to full back and Matt Betty reverting to wing. The second half can be best forgotten as a number of errors by both teams in difficult conditions meant that any fluid rugby was difficult.
In the final quarter G-Force managed to score a third try courtesy of Captain Mike Denbee following some sustained pressure.
Amersham & Chiltern responded with their first points of the day with a un-converted try on 71 minutes, following a yellow card close to the try line, issued to substitute Ollie Neissen.
Conclusion
A hard earned win by East Grinstead against an opposition who defended well and never gave up. East Grinstead probably feel that the game was a lost opportunity for bonus points, as they created enough opportunities, but for errors and determination by A&C.
