A disappointing day when our game plan did not work and were well beaten by the home team, who played the conditions much better than us. Our scrum worked well but unfortunately our line out play did not attain its normal high standard.

We also met a team who had a very simple game plan which they played well. They moved their full back to fly half for the game and he kicked us to distraction by constantly kicking into space and disrupting our attempt to play our normal game by getting his team mates chasing well and closing down any space.We also kicked badly allowing Tring to just put the ball deep into our half.

Our discipline was poor and we fell foul of the referee who continually penalised us at the breakdown; and the Tring fly half gave a great performance from the kicking tee with 6 from 6. Our only reply was a penalty from Andy Fluker who also missed 2 chances which on other days he would have taken.

As the game moved on our indiscipline cost us dearly and we incurred 4 yellow cards, at one stage down to 12 players.

We now trail Tring in the table on the basis of number of wins. But, if we can get back to our usual form we can quickly get back to the top of the table.
