In 1997 the first Supporters Lunches at the club took place. It is an immense achievement that they have continued without interruption , their aim being to support the club both on and off the field.

Clive Newton was one of the instigators of these lunches, and has offered "to go vertical" and explain how and why these lunches were started. Roddy Owen has been invited to add his blend of Welsh humour to the occasion, he and Clive used to share the speech making duties, both trying to out do the other in terms of their eloquence and high powered rhetoric!

The first lunches 20 years ago, attracted between 80 and 90 members. On this commemorative occasion, we hope that as many members as possible can find the time to attend, particularly members who came to those first lunches 20 years ago.
