The 3XV end of season players' tour is now confirmed and will be taking place between Friday 17th March and Sunday 19th March 2023.

This is the third tour in an epic trilogy that started with the 'Ranger Danger' Tour to Newquay in 2019. This was followed by the pandemic delayed 'High Voltage' Tour to Ledbury in 2022 and now the 'Mickey Mouse' Tour will travel to an as yet to be decided location in 2023.

The naming of the first 2 tours was not based on any particular criteria, just that the tours needed names, and names were given. This time however there is a story behind how the Mickey Mouse tour was so called; A few 1XV players had sneaked onto the recent High Voltage tour, who can blame them, and all would have been fine if one of those players hadn't picked up a knock in the tour match that would then rule him out of the last few games of the season. These things happen and luckily the 1XV won those last 3 games but Head Coach Rich Hoskins wasn't initially that impressed with the High Voltage tour committee, quite rightfully, and in that moment of discovering what had happened described the tour match as a 'Mickey Mouse' game of Rugby which could have cost the 1XV their excellent end to the season. Since then we have come up with better ways of doing things and patched things up with our Head Coach, so much so that this year's tour has been named in homage to his comment and the tour poster (pictured) references this in comic book style. Not only that I am pleased to report that Rich Hoskins will be coming on the Mickey Mouse tour, in a playing capacity.

There are 30 players in total who have put their names down for the tour and tour admissions are now closed. The Tour Committee are looking forward to organising an even better one than last time, although that will be tough. The location will be announced to the players upon departure, as is tradition, and they will know nothing about anything until the bus leaves the carpark.
