A&CRFC Under 11s attended the Windsor festival this Sunday in the scenic shadow of Windsor Castle
Both teams were excited to attend the first official festival under the new rules with no score keeping (The players new the scores though)
The 'A' team started with great intensity and no lack of skill in the passing against a competent Bracknell team. A couple of sloppy passes led to a breakaway Bracknell score against the run of play. But strong contact work from the A&CRFC team led to two very good scores. Another unfortunate breakaway led to Bracknell equalizing and earning a draw. Chiltern had all the run of play and were unfortunate not to win. More clinical work in the loose and this would have resulted in an easy win. Good start to the day
The 'B' team started with a comprehensive win over Maidenhead, not that we were keeping the score, with great play from James West and Dan McGee
This set the tone of the day with a lot of great defensive and breakdown work, some lottery in the scrum, and generally very talented work by both Amersham teams in the open play, with great passing, although some missed opportunities that the players will be looking to improve upon in the upcoming tournaments
Well played all - great start to the season
