Amersham & Chiltern U14s remain unbeaten in 2018

Amersham & Chiltern U14s 1st Team 12 v 12 Beaconsfield U14s 1st Team

Amersham & Chiltern 1st team remain unbeaten despite conceding a late try which enable Beaconsfield to draw the match. There were a lot of positives from this hard fought match but sometimes the basics let the team down, especially exiting under pressure from both scrums and line outs. Tackling was awesome as always, with some of the best possession coming from turnovers. In this high pressure game and some of the play looked nervous or rushed, these are things we can work on to ensure the boys have planned routines that they can rely upon. But team spirit was definitely enhanced by today’s experience which is a good sign that the individuals that make this squad are bonding and do not want to let each other down.

Tries from Sammy Sinclair and Jacob Avis and a conversion from Raphy Weatherall put Amersham in a strong position but ultimately was not able to force a win.

Amersham & Chiltern U14s Saxons 7 v 17 Beaconsfield U14s 2nd Team

Amersham & Chiltern Saxons showed great spirit after falling behind to a first half try to take the lead with a well worked move which saw Cameron Cork break from his own half to beat the cover defence to score, with the conversion from Mathew Warren. Late tries restored Beaconsfield’s lead despite some great tackling and long phases of possession from the Saxons, which they could not convert into points.
