Bucks Friendly League Away Win

The 19 boys who made the trip to Marlow RFC, share full glory for a team victory, where every player made a big contribution to the overall win.

A big thank you to Edward Batchelor for stepping up and completing the front row with Xavier Currill and Tom Wingrove. Saxons pairing Luke Gibson and Harry Lane then created the engine room allowing a new look back row of Alex Porter, Matthew Warren and Jacob Avis to control the loose areas around the rucks and mauls. A full back line of Thomas Treloar, Raphy Weatherall, George Birch, Sammy Sinclair, Saajan Jassy, Joshua Fisher and Tommy Richardson, were the difference between the teams, scoring regularly from flowing moves to the wings. A&C lead 2 tries to 1 at the end of the 1st Period.

The A&C back division continued to be in the ascendancy following the addition of Raphael Baker, Charlie Cronly, Nathan Iles and James Thomas in the 2nd Period, while a heroic defensive set from the A&C forwards and backs denied a resurgent Marlow who camped for some 10 minutes on the A&C line coming away with just 1 try. A&C lead 4 tries to 2 at the end of the 2nd Period.

With Marlow scoring early tries in the 3rd period it was necessary to support our tiring forwards for the last 15 mins, with Sammy Sinclair moving to 2nd Row and Raphy Weather joining the back row, with all 19 players involved in the final period, which saw A&C score 3 late tries to complete the win.

Top try scorer in the day was Saajan Jassy with 4 tries supported by Xavier Currill, Jacob Avis, Joshua Fisher and Sammy Sinclair.
