Season opener against Newbury RFC a triumph for entire squad

Despite Newbury RFC arriving with an A team heavy squad (not their fault) I am so very proud of the way our squad of 29 faced up to this 75 min, 3 x 3rds match. The Amersham & Chiltern Saxons remained on the field for the entire first 3rd keeping the score to just 5 tries conceded and then the majority of the Saxons continued into the second 3rd with support from an increasing number of 1st Team players to win this phase of the match by 3 tries to nil, to set up a barnstorming finish with more 1st team players joining the match, cutting loose and scoring another 5 tries to nil to complete a sensational win 8 tries to 5 tries over the course of the 75 mins.
