U15's make it a clean sweep of County Cup Finalists

After a really tough encounter with High Wycombe, Chiltern managed to hold on and secure a place in the Cup Final.

Amersham had the better of the early exchanges, playing some expansive rugby, attacking the flanks, but it took a really strong run by James Seabrook to finally break through. James had a fine game with both in attack and defence, making many crucial tackles and turnovers. Wycombe, boasting a strong pack, continued to drive short, they made hard years and it took one miss tackle for their impressive number 8, to break clear.

After regrouping Chiltern again made their way up the pitch and started to play in the right areas. After a sloppy Wycombe scrum, the ball popped out and Jake Choules pounced to score.

8:12 at half time.

The second half started well for Chiltern, they continued to play in the outer areas and it took a well placed through kick by Will Porter to see Robert Hill slide in the corner. Soon after after a sustained period of play, Jake Choules went over for his 2nd try. With the score at 8:24, Chiltern run the changes, as the referee started to influence the flow of the game, which saw many strange decisions which bamboozled the players, both sets of coaches and the crowd.

Whilst the ref was not looking, as he forgot to register the score, the Wycombe 8, again score a well taken try. As the final play was called, Wycombe drove a great maul resulting second penalty try.

Well played Chiltern and thank you Wycombe for a great game.

Actual score was 20:24.
