About the team

As the A&C Academy enters its 10th season, the club is incredibly proud of the exceptional track record it has established for developing talented local young rugby players.

Highlights include A&C Academy players achieving:

• International recognition with England U18’s
• First team and Academy status at Wasps
• County recognition with Buckinghamshire
• 1st XV status at A&C

The A&C Academy covers the U13’s to U16’s age groups and aims to provide an inspiring and nurturing environment which focuses on coaching players to achieve their potential in all areas of the game.

A&C Academy training sessions take place at the club every Monday evening during the season between 18:30 and 20:00. Sessions are holistic and, as well as working on the key facets of each players’ game, include specialist
strength & conditioning coaching. Advice is also provided on how to improve as a rugby player off the field via programs and seminars on topics such as diet, recovery and sleep.

Entry into the A&C Academy is via a player being nominated by their age group coaches and then achieving a successful trial period based on the views of the A&C Academy coaching team.

I am looking forward to leading the A&C Academy over the coming years, building on the successes of the first 9 years of the programme and helping to produce the A&C stars of the future.
