Chiltern were understandibly rusty and possibly guilty of trying too hard to score in the opening quarter.
Gosford were first onto the scoreboard with a penalty from their fly half who was a threat all game.
Once Chiltern settled into the game and played through the phases they were able to create a platform and build a score. Three tries were scored in the first half; first from man of the match Josh Porter, followed by Jamie Fenton and Steve Wiggill. Michael Brothers converted two from three.
Just before half time Chiltern were penalised in the scrum and from the tap penalty Gosford moved the ball quickly and scored keeping them well in the match.
HT 19-8
After a strong half time team talk Amersham gathered composure and started the second half well; the fourth bonus point try came from a well worked forward drive and was finished by captain Luke Donnebaum. Michael Brothers converted.
There was time for Gosford to add to their first try when a loose pass was intercepted and finished under the posts.
Further tries were scored from Logan Miller, Luke Donnebaum's second & Michael Buckler who all finished well after great passing throughout the team.
The final score was from Luke Donnebaum to score his hat trick and the conversion from Will Browne took Chiltern to 50 points.
