The first game of 2023 became a very memorable occasion for our 2nd XV as they travelled down the road to play Tring, for the second time this season. The first game at Ash Grove was definitely a less memorable affair.

The away day derby turned out to a tremendous victory for Chiltern’s 2XV. Both sides, barely distinguishable by the head to toe covering of mud, saw our team fight off the elements to claim success. A feisty crowd watched and cheered as the strong Tring side tried to make it a season double. This was not to be, and when the final whistle blew it was time for our team to celebrate their achievement of avenging the home defeat suffered in 2022.
