With December arriving tomorrow your magnificent Amersham and Chiltern Rugby Club is getting ready for the festive spirit. A round up of the activities and events coming up:

Upcoming 1XV December games
There will be a 2 course supporters lunch before each of the home games and everyone is welcome.

1st - Luton (away) (league)
8th – Eton Manor (home) (league)
15th – Old Haberdashers (away)(league)
22nd – Beaconsfield (away)(Bucks Cup Semi Final)

Decorate the Christmas Tree this Sunday
The Christmas tree is going up ready for Sunday and we have purchased 400 chocolate Santas to be hung on the tree. It would make sense for the younger minis to have a go at this after training on Sunday. Parents please do stay behind!

Club Christmas
On the 16th December we will have Santa handing out selection packs to the ‘good’ children from either the cabin or Grayburn Room followed by a friend of Derek’s (our Chef) conducting a Christmas karaoke sing-along in the clubhouse for a couple of hours from 11:30 to 13:30 approx. Again, as many parents to stay behind as possible please, I’m sure Derek will be preparing some mulled wine and pigs in blankets to sell. The best minis age group rendition of "Must Be Santa" by Bob Dylan gets a free drink.

Volunteer needed
We are looking for a Communications Officer to help at the club, the role is no more that 2-3 hrs a week and would allow us to be far more efficient with all communications to the membership, via the website and through publications. If you are interested in the role, please contact Scott Jarrold.

Capital Project
As you may be aware there is work being carried out to AstroTurf the area outside of the clubhouse. This work is well underway and should be finished within the next week. We thank you all of our members for their levy contribution that has allowed us to carry out this work.

Christmas Lunch Saturday 8th December. Derek will be serving a delicious Christmas lunch, £15/head.
Life members and VPs lunch Saturday 26th January
Ladies day Saturday 9th March. Tickets £20 a head to include free flowing prosecco lunch before watching the 1st XV
Presidents lunch Saturday 13th April

New Life Membership rates
We are now offering anyone over the age of 65 life membership for £1000 and anyone over the age of 70 life membership for £500. Please email Sarah Greenstreet for more details.
