Amersham & Chiltern U10s Final Match Report 2014-15 Season

I delighted to report that Amersham & Chiltern U10s enjoyed a triumphant final days rugby in Gloucester, with our talent spread over three teams and pitched against Matson RFC, Longlevens RFC and Cinderford RFC, our Buccaneers emerged unbeaten with 4 wins out of 4 matches conceding just 1 try, to be the only team with a 100% record on the day.

Overall Amersham & Chiltern won 8 out of the 11 matches against Gloucester teams finishing with the following record; W1 : L2 against Matson RFC, W4 : L1 against Longlevens RFC and W3 : L0 against Cinderford RFC, with the final match being a 1 all draw when the Amersham & Chiltern teams played each other.

Overall Amersham & Chiltern scored 32 tries on the day with top try scorer Alex Porter scoring 8 tries for the Pirates and Harry Doyle scoring 6 tries for the Buccaneers. As always the Amersham & Chiltern defence was strong conceding just 13 tries in 12 matches, with big hits in all games, although Thomas Treloar’s tackle on Joshua Allen in the final game left us all feeling a little shaken.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the boys who played on Sunday and throughout the year for providing the coaches and parents with a thrilling season of quality rugby.
