Dear Rugby Parents,
Many thanks for a great turnout for our home fixture with local rivals, Tring . We're grateful to the Tring coaching team for bringing such a strong group of players to challenge our own talented year group. It was great to see such competitive rugby being played. The matches for my team (the Menacers - what a great name!) were all hotly contested and I understand this was the same for most of the other teams. We look forward to the return visit to Tring in 2020.
Players of the week were Xander, Matthew (second week running!), Ethan and Haris. Well done for standing out in a very strong group of players.
We also welcome Nathanael to the group. Unfortunately I do not have photographic evidence of his TREDS laces award but we hope he will wear them with pride when he returns to training in the new year.
We have just two training sessions left before Christmas. Next week we are lucky to have Matt Allen leading the children for the first 45 minutes so expect some further introduction to contact in advance of next season.
The final session will be on 15 December where we will be enjoying festive training. There is a rumour that we will have a special visitor at training; a portly gentleman with a white beard, smelling of whisky and mince pies...
Please keep your amusing comments to yourselves. See you all on Sunday!
