Great news for 2s, they have been promoted to BBO Prem A, well done to the Dave Neale and the whole squad. The 2s will now play in a very competetive league against, Henley Wands 2s, Redingensians 2s, Windsor 2s, Witney 2s, Marlow 2s, Oxford Harl 2s, Chinnor 3s, Buckingham 2s, Bracknell 3s, Reading Abbey 2s, and Wallingford 2s. The first team will compete in BBO Prem, against Newbury Stags, Drifters, Oxford, Phoenix, Stow on the Wold, Swindon College, Gosford All Blacks, Abingdon, Broadmoor, Harwell and Wheatley. The 3s will compete in BBO 2 (North), against Chinnor 4s, Wycombe 3s, Chipping 2s, Winslow, Aylesbury 3s, Witney 4s, Stow on the Wold 3s, Bicester 3s, amd Banbury 3s. The 3s will only have 18 league games, so we plan on using the free weekends to arrange local vets fixtures so that we have a game each week. Good luck to all teams next season, I think we should be targeting promotion for 1s and 3s and a mid table position for the 2s. |

thats great news for the club and the guys that made it happen-lets all celebrate it at the club dinner! and lets all have a good rest until the first tuesday in July! Richard- I thought that the 3's had dropped out of BBO and were going to play more locally????? Dan |

Very good work from the 2's - tough league, but we've proved we have the strength to play in it by getting promoted to it in the first place! Don't underestimate the 1st XV league either - Stow on the Wold assumed they'd bounce straight back up from it and didn't... In previous discussions about the pros and cons of the 3's dropping out of the leagues altogether; the main con has always been that fixtures will be difficult to come by because all the other local teams we'd like to arrange fixtures against are still playing in the leagues so you'd end up with very few fixtures - at least being in the league guarantees some games. |

I undertsand Milton Keynes are playing in the Northampton based league to cut down travelling. With respect to the 3s, the choice we had was either BBO or Thames Valley Invitation, travelling was really no different, Berkshire instead of Oxfordshire!, so along with other local clubs Aylesbury and Wycombe we decided to stay put, however the BBo is a reduced number of games, we will only have 18 league fixtures for 3s, so hopefully we can get some local games for the Vets etc to fill in the missing weeks. |

The actual fixtures are expected to be available over the bank holiday weekend, keep an eye on the First Eleven website. However we can expect the first round of RFU Senior Vase on 6/9 and first league games for all three teams on 13/9. |

Guys,i have played in the bbo prem for Chesham 1st xv and it is no cake walk.Teams like swindon college and drifters have big packs and sharp backs. It will be tough, the only thing that separtes bbo prem and southern counties north is strength in dept and squad sizes. These teams dont regularly put out their strongest 15 week in week out but you can be sure that they will when we come to play them.Fitness levels will be the key if we are to win this league next year and for the 2s to stay in their new league.See you all at pre season in July |

the 2nds look like they are in a tougher league than the one! Cathal is bang on about the league for the ones. I have a mate who plays at Stowe and he says some of sides packs are quit large! |
