Looking at the list posted in the clubhouse of those "members" who haven't paid their subs (as of 8th Jan), I was surprised to see so many current players. Since when did paying subs become an optional extra and why should those members who pay up religiously on time every season be subsidising those who don't? Whilst the list undoubtedly contains names of people who have either left or maybe show their face once a season, most listed do use the club on a regular basis. In particular, players make the most use of the facilities and should be the first people to settle with the club. Come on lads, do the honourable thing and pay up. If you have genuine financial difficulties, then I'm sure the club will consider your case, but otherwise there should be no excuse.

a deafening silence ... no, wait a minute, what's that I hear - the distant dusting down of cheque books and scratch of pen on paper as embarrassed players finally get round round to paying their dues? ... or maybe not |

Just to remind you, when renewing your membership, please send your cheque and a completed form (available for printing under the Club Information/ Membership Details tab) to the address given on the form. Alternatively you can pay by credit or debit card at the bar. Rob |

A week on and only 2 people have responded by paying their dues - it's very disappointing!!! |

Pathetic. Should be "no pay, no play". |

although i am no longer a player at amersham and chiltern i feel that although players should pay their fees just like any other club member, maybe you should be giving them a bit more support around the pitch and incouraging them to be all they can be. Maybe club fees should be at the top of the agenda at the begginning of the season not half way through when the club is struggling to get itself off the bottom of the league table |

But Beast, if the club is owed money then it has a duty to try and collect it - especially from those who are blatantly not paying. The current position of the 1st XV is immaterial to this. |

Guys - this is so depressing and I really think everybody's got the message now... I think we should just leave it there. (Rob M - cheques in the post... I forgot honest gov!) |

Rob, I think we'll have to agree to disagree. We'll see if everyone's got the message when all the cheques come in to Rob Maxey - though he's probably not holding his breath. |
