Under 12s

We will be arranging an end of season meal and awards evening for players and parents ... more detail to follow

April 29th - Friendly v Chesham
A fantastic morning's rugby - many thanks to everyone who came along and to Paul Bowe for running from end to end chasing the try scorers!! Particular thanks to Chesham and to the Chiltern players who took part - but as members of the opposition: Nick, Sutej, Harry and Jacques (and scored too!!). All players enjoyed their taster of rugby on the full size pitch - and luckily the rain held off too!! All bodes well for a strong start to next season ...

April 22 - Aylesbury tournament
For the last tournament of the season we will be taking A and B squads to Aylesbury - good luck to all!

U12s tour to Northampton and Huntingdon - 14/15 April
We are looking forward to taking 28 players and parents to Northampton Old Boys and Huntingdon RFC - there will be NO TRAINING at Amersham for the U12s this weekend.

Marlow tournament - March 25th
We took both A and B squads to Marlow on the 25th March for a great festival of rugby (in the sun). The As fought their way through the league stage to take part in the plate final - and won against Bracknell. In the B tournament A&C lost two of their league games but then drew with Windsor in the shield final (3-3) - having lost to them during the league stage - a fantastic recovery! Well done to all!!

Beaconsfield Festival - March 4th
On a very very wet Sunday our B squad travelled to Beaconsfield to take part in their Festival of Rugby - we played 3 matches before the rain finally put an end to rugby for the day. Many thanks to all parents, players and coaches - who struggled on through horrible weather and on a seriously muddy pitch - and special mention to Harry Prior (fantastic tackling) and Jake Hjorring (gave his all to level one of the matches - and was trodden on for his trouble!!) - and to Beaconsfield for hosting the event and awarding us the Fair Play Award.

SUNDAY 5TH FEBRUARY: TRAINING IS CANCELLED - ENJOY THE SNOW!!

Amersham & Chiltern Tournament - 9 October 2011

Great performance from our U12As to win both league and fair play awards! Thanks to all the support of our older and very new players we managed to enter two teams for the U12B tournament - but neither was able to hold off the challenge of Tring, Saracens or Chesham .. this time!! We are grateful to Windsor for entering teams in both the A and B tournaments - despite being hit with injury - and thanks to all our visitors for a great day: Beaconsfield, Chesham, Ealing, Saracens, Tring and Windsor .. hope to get together again soon!

Welcome Back to a new season of rugby at Amersham & Chiltern to all our players and parents (old and new)!

Our new season has started - and we have lots to do!! We need to be ready to play in two early tournaments: Windsor (2 October) and Amersham & Chiltern (9 October) - and we all need to pull together to make this year's minis tournament on the 9th October a huge success. In particular we need help with:

SPONSORSHIP -  of the tournament itself (major sponsor - please consider if you are able to help sponsor the tournament, or know someone who could do so and contact David Collingbourne for further information); or of a page or half page in the tournament programme. The tournament is a great day and will be attended by around 1000 players and their families.

RAFFLE - prizes and administration of the raffle itself - if you are able to help please contact Jane.

SETTING UP - on the day before the tournament we will need help with setting up tents/hammering in signs/marking pitch boundaries etc etc - Jane will be looking for volunteers.

If you are new to the club (or just need a gentle reminder!) - we train every Sunday morning between 10 and 12 (please arrive by 9:45 to warm-up - and leave plenty of time to park!) on the minis field behind the Clubhouse. Your coaches are:

Peter Fulcher
Nick Morrison
Andy Saunders
Andre Bischoff
Spike Stevens
Graeme Wood
Richard Kenchington
Ian Everett
Paul Bowe

Age Group Organiser is: Jane Grundy

Boots should have rugby studs (for safety) and all players MUST HAVE A MOUTHGUARD ...
