Sponsors Information Plan

Amersham and Chiltern RFC are raising their profile once again. In the last decade we have won the Buck's cup and the county championship four times. To be awarded the cup, illustrates the clubs position, leading the county in rugby ethos and performance. Of course, with the advent of professionalism in rugby union, it was no mean achievement. After winning the Bucks and Oxon league championship in 1994 and the Southern County League championship in 1996, the club won the Bucks cup in 97, 99, 00 & 03. The profile of the club has never been higher. Indeed during 1996, this was recognised by the visit of BBC2 cameras to film the mini rugby section in action, for their programme to encourage youngsters to partake in sport, called Out & About. In 02 Sky filmed at the club our attempt at the world record of 24-hour rugby, to be put in the Guinness Book of Records. 2004's success of England in venturing to the South Seas to beat Australia and New Zealand and win the world cup can be partly attributed to Amersham & Chiltern's junior training, as this is where Josh Lewsey ,the famed International full back, and his brothers, learnt their rugby. The club also has three current junior Internationals playing for England including Jack Wallace currently touring Australia with the England U18s.

In addition to five senior teams, the club runs a minis and junior section and, tracking their senior team, the under 13`s and Colts both won their Bucks Cup Finals last year. In the colts rugby we had representatives in the England, Scotland and Wales international teams. On Sunday mornings, there are at the club, over 250 youngsters from 7 to 12 years old, participating in the mini's section and another 250 in the junior section, coached by fully qualified RFU coaches.    During this past season, helped by one of our coaches Sean Jarrold, we were able to visit local schools coaching thousands of local youngsters including some with severe disabilities.  We now have two senior coach's, with former England international Alan Simmons coaching the forwards.  Our under 17's last season reached the last 16 in the All England Competition ,and three of our minis teams reached the Twickenham finals staged before the Babas v England game.  Our colt's team also reached the last 16 of All England.

Recently at the mini's festival during September, we were visited by the great Martin Johnson, Captain of the 1997 British Lions and current England Head Coach. He shook hands and congratulated many of the young players. Let's hope he shook the hand of some future British Lions, who learnt their game at the club. This season with the World cup it will raise the profile of the club even higher as the game reaches a new level.

To the eternal honour of the club and its players, although we are in the era of, and are competing against professional players, our teams are not being paid. They are playing for honour and respect. To this end we need sponsors to support the development of the club.

We can offer everything from match sponsorship through to sponsorship of our mini or junior festivals, shirt sponsorship or the diamond in the crown, main sponsorship of the club itself.

Sponsors are invited to dine with us at the president's lunch and also to share with the league match sponsors in a buffet, and use entertaining facilities at the club on all home match days.

Last but not least there is also access for sponsors, to the clubs allocation of tickets for Twickenham for the internationals.  Now England have such a good team there are some mouth watering prospects in store this season.  Soon we will be in a World Cup year again, the third biggest sporting event in the calendar, and the profile of rugby has never been higher.
