About Us

Amersham and Chiltern RFC has a long history of providing a warm welcome and great rugby for all ages, from its early roots in 1924 to the present day, thousands of players have been proud to wear the distinctive Claret and White colours of the club.

We have four senior sides. The 1st XV were promoted for the third successive season this time to National League 3 South West, a level 5 league; the Saxons (2nd XV) have transferred across to The Shield (formally known as The Canterbury Shield), which is seen to represent level 6/7 rugby for non-first teams; the 3rd XV will work as a development squad for our 1st and Saxon XV and will compete in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon 3 league and our 4th XV will continue to compete in the Herts and Middlesex Merit Table this year.

We have competitive senior rugby every Saturday, for anyone who wants to play our great game, whatever your experience is, just join us for training any Tuesday or Thursday at 19.15.

The Juniors and Minis are one the best organised and successful groups in the county, from Tag at under 6, all the way through the RFU continuum to Under 12, and through Junior rugby up to Colts. Just turn up on a Sunday morning from 10.00 in September onwards and join in, or contact the appropriate age group contacts on this web site.

Off the field, we have a superb clubhouse, which offers a warm welcome, open every Thursday evening, and Saturday and Sundays during the season. As well as a bar and hot food it also has a gym which is available free of charge to our members, as is subsidised phsyio support.

The Clubhouse can also be hired by both Club and non Club members for corporate and social events throughout the year.

So why not join us, and become part of the Amersham and Chiltern family, the Club where England and Wasps' legend Josh Lewsey played his Mini and Junior rugby, and who currently has several Junior players playing for their national sides at their respective age groups.
