Message from Wasps - Our Premiership Community Partner
3rd September 2008
Dear Amersham & Chiltern RFC member,
On behalf of the London Wasps players & staff I would like to welcome you back for the start of the new season and also to our Community Partnership. Last season we shared the success of our Guinness Premiership winning season with thousands of members from our Community Partner Clubs and this season we look forward to your continued support; as we reset our goals to retain our Premiership Crown and also winning the Heineken Cup. Despite the loss of senior players Lawrence Dallaglio (retired) and Fraser Waters (Benetton Treviso), this season will see Rugby’s Next Generation entrusted to keep London Wasps at the top of English & European club rugby; with the likes of young guns Danny Cipriani, Tom Rees, James Haskell and Dom Waldouck joining international stars Raphael Ibanez, Phil Vickery, Simon Shaw, Eoin Reddan, Paul Sackey & Josh Lewsey (to name but a few). This season we have also added Serge Betsen (France) and Mark ‘Sharkey’ Robinson (NZ All Blacks) to our talented squad.
The 2008 – 2009 season will also give young players and senior players opportunities to enjoy Match Days at London Wasps with quality experiences at affordable prices. We would like to invite:
- Age groups U6s to U17s to join our Match Day CoacHclass
- Age groups U7s to U17s to join our Match Day Community Partner Challenge
- Age groups U11s & U12s to compete in the London Wasps ‘Land Rover Premiership Cup’ (details TBA)
- Mini age groups U7s & U8s to join our Match Day Tag Rugby Challenge
- Children aged 6 to 14 to be a London Wasps Match Day Mascot
- All members can watch London Wasps through our Community Group Tickets
(All details are available on http://www.wasps.co.uk/MatchdayActivities.ink )
We hope you continue to enjoy playing your club rugby at Amersham & Chiltern RFC and also provide regular support for London Wasps at Adams Park.
Regards in Community Rugby,
Dave Larham
