Pitch Inspection Results: Junior and Mini Rugby - 28th Februuary

We have completed a pitch inspection of our pitches and also those at Hervines Park this morning. All the pitches are very wet with standing water everywhere. The weather forecast is for heavy rain overnight. Therefore the following decisions have been made:

1.       Under 17s to play on 1st team pitch in National Cup subject to a further pitch inspection on Sunday morning at 09.00 at the latest. Jonathan Royals to advise on whether the pitch is safe for play.

2.       Under 15s to play on the Vets pitch in Bucks Cup subject to a further pitch inspection on Sunday morning at 09.00 at the latest. Jonathan Royals to advise on whether the pitch is safe for play.

3.       Under 13s to either cancel “B” game with Chesham or play away. Others to train on the top half of the 2nd team pitch (nearest the Vets pitch) or around the sides of the second team pitch. The pitch at Hervines also has standing water on it and is unplayable

4.       Under 12s, 11s, 10s and 9s will train at Hervines. Please find some grass that does NOT have standing water on it

5.       Under 8s will train on the Under 11s pitch which is opposite where they normally are, the other side of the flood lights

6.       The Under 6s, 7s will train below the Under 8s towards the railway line and to the left of the Railway pitch as you look at the Minis field from the Clubhouse

Under NO circumstances can the lower half of the 2nd team pitch , the Training pitch or the Railway pitch be used .

Obviously if individual Age Groups decide that the weather overnight is too wet for them then I’ll leave it to them to cancel their matches/training.

Please tell all Parents/players and opposition/referees.

Regards,
