31st January: Mini Rugby at Marlow for Under 9s, 10s, 11s and 12s CANCELLED

Marlow have just done a pitch inspection and have Cancelled all Minis at Under 9, 10, 11 and 12 Age groups due to the pitches being too hard for contact rugby. PLEASE TELEPHONE AS MANY PARENTS AS YOU CAN TO LET THEM KNOW.

 

Marlow will host Under 7s and Under 8s as these age groups are non contact. But please ensure all children are wrapped up warmly, wear many layers, tracksuit bottoms or similar and hats. It will be cold.

 

There can be no rugby at the Club before noon. All pitches were frozen this morning and the forecast is for another heavy frost. Unfortunately we had a vandal drive a vehicle all over the pitches last night resulting in heavy rutting which has now frozen. For any age groups to play on the pitches before noon, when the sun should have melted the frost, would be dangerous and risk broken ankles.

 

The vandals also attempted to break into the Club, luckily without success, but caused damage to all locks and doors of the three outside store sheds used to store spare chairs and kitchen equipment. The police have been informed.
